Our Story

Sarmadi

Sarmadi (سرمدي,pronouncedsar-MA-dee) is an Arabic word meaning "eternal" and "everlasting." It carries a deep meaning for us on two distinct levels—and both are the exact reason this brand exists.

Who We Are

Long before this brand was born, our family was fully immersed in the world of textile and garment manufacturing. Over halfa century ago, in another part of the world, our heritage began in traditional clothing production before eventually expanding into modern, ready-to-wear apparel.

We didn’t just watch this industry from a distance; we grew up inside it. We were trained in the raw grit of the craft: fabric production, precision color matching, strict quality control, and the daily realities of running a business, from labor to pricing. We spent our formative years in the mills learning how cloth is made, and sat through enough dinner-table conversations to deeply understand what mattered in this industry long before we could even articulate why.

Later, we worked alongside our family on the commercial side—managing retail storefronts and standing at trade fairs. That taughtus the crucial second half of the equation: not just how to make a garment well, but how to look a customer in the eye and earn their trust. That lifetime of experience shaped everything we know today: how to select exceptional fabric, how to perfect a tailored fit, and how to create pieces people actually love to wear

Sarmadi is the natural evolution of that instinct: build it properly, stand firmly behind our craftsmanship, and honor the heritage passed down to us

Why We Started

Like many families, we found ourselves shopping across several different websites just to cover our everyday wardrobe needs—one place for reliable basics, another for something more specific, and rarely anywhere that treated modest wear with the respect and attention it deserved.It was more hassle than it needed to be. We wanted to build a single place where you can find thoughtful, everyday clothing done exceptionally well, without the runaround.
